Every year on November 1st and 2nd the people of Mexico celebrate Dia de los
Muertos (Day of the Dead), a holiday where people honor family members who have passed away. On November 1st, if you
had a child in your family, you would honor them by putting toys and balloons on their grave. On November 2nd, the people
of Mexico honor the adults who have died with food, drinks, belongings, flowers, candles, pan de muerto (bread with frosting),
skull shaped candies, and prayers said by their family. On this day at 6:00 PM, bells ring every 30 seconds until sunrise.
At sunrise people return home.
